Avilar Hosts Competency Management
Luncheons Across the US
Avilar, Inc. will host a
series of luncheons across the United States to give
attendees an outline for approaching competency
management initiatives in their organizations and the
opportunity to network with other practitioners starting
similar projects.
The luncheons, lead by Avilar's Director of
Workforce Solutions Christine Hipple, will introduce
Hipple's newly developed ACUTE approach to competency
management initiatives.
Hipple developed the ACUTE
approach as a practical and straight-forward guide for
practitioners who seek some structure when planning a
competency-based workforce initiative. To support each
step in the approach and to show functional application,
Hipple uses case studies and examples from her career as
both a consultant and practitioner.
"We find that practitioners
are aware of the benefits of competency management, but
often find it difficult to get started and stay focused
without some practical guidance and structure," says
Hipple.
"This luncheon will give attendees a top-down
view of a competency management initiative and will
provide direction for creating their unique project
plan."
Throughout Hipple's
presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask
questions as well as participate in the discussion. Luncheons are
scheduled for Atlanta, San Diego and Washington, DC this
year, with more locations expected for 2008.
Avilar provides a range of
competency management services and solutions including
the WebMentor Skills competency management system, consulting
