Executive
John Skowlund as CEO
(Laurel, MD — July 21, 2003) Avilar Technologies Inc.,
a leading provider of competency and learning management
software, announced today that John Skowlund has been appointed
to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With over
15 years of executive management and business development
experience in the technology industry, Mr. Skowlund brings
strategic vision and leadership to Avilar. Previously, he
was founder and COO of Re-route Corporation, of Alexandria,
VA, the leading provider of e-mail forwarding and switching
services for consumers changing Internet providers. Re-Route
was sold to Return Path, Inc. late last year.

in sales and marketing, he will be particularly effective
